CFCS Chapter 135

Chapter 135
Artistic Life (Arc 10.8)

Su Mo not only arranged for his grandmother to be interviewed, but besides his brother who was abroad, even had his parents interviewed. The entire family was in jubilation.

Because Su Mo suddenly became famous, many friends and relatives came to congratulate the Su family. Su Mo’s grandmother was also so happy that she seemed like she had gotten younger. Usually because of her poor health she could only lie in bed or stay in a wheelchair, but now she was much more willing to go out to visit friends and relatives and show off her grandson along the way.

Su Mo’s father didn’t approve of him learning the arts previously because it took a very long time to become a good painter, and even then he wouldn’t necessarily become famous. Now Su Mo was only a graduate student and had already become famous. His paintings being able to sell at such high prices, Su Mo’s father was obviously very happy. He even gave Su Mo many rewards and told him to continue to work hard and create even better works.

Recently when Su Mo walked around on campus he enjoyed the other students’ jealous and envious gazes, as well as the feeling of people revolving around him.

Sometimes Jing Yang would see him at school. Seeing the hidden pride on his face, he felt like it was hilarious. An achievement gotten from copying another person’s paintings, he didn’t know what he could be proud of. What’s more, all of that popularity was actually fake. This was just an illusory bubble that he had Cui Yan create for him. As long as he willed it, he could now let everything that he was proud of disappear.

The domestic art association was holding a painting exhibition for outstanding young painters. This exhibition was very grand, and the number of invitations sent out was very few. So being invited could be said to be something very glorious.

Both Jing Yang and Su Mo were invited. Jing Yang could display five paintings, and Su Mo could display four. Originally Su Mo was very happy because of the invitation, but when he found out that he could only display one fewer painting than Mu Jin, his excitement immediately waned.

The school let Wu Xiuyuan bring Jing Yang and Su Mo together to the painting exhibition. Each person’s location in the exhibition was already arranged. When they hung up all the paintings, the exhibition would officially open the next day.

“Open your paintings for me to take a look.” Wu Xiuyuan looked at Jing Yang’s sealed paintings and said.

“Is this necessary?” Jing Yang looked at him coldly.

“I am the teacher responsible for the two of you. What kind of paintings you want to bring to the exhibition, I naturally have to first take a look.” Wu Xiuyuan took it for granted.

Jing Yang smiled coldly. “I already had someone contact the people in charge of the exhibition. My paintings can be directly displayed once I bring them over, the school only let you send us over. Even if you don’t send me over, did you think that my paintings wouldn’t be able to be displayed?”

Wu Xiuyuan looked at him with an ugly expression. He was angry at Jing Yang’s attitude, but he didn’t know how to refute him.

“Forget it, teacher.” Su Mo pulled at Wu Xiuyuan’s arm. “It seems like Mu Jin got into a relationship with a big man. Teacher shouldn’t worry about him, or else offending the big man wouldn’t be good.”

“Hm.” Jing Yang snorted disdainfully. He let the people Cui Yan arranged put his paintings back into the car. He would have liked to give the school some face and take the car the school arranged over, but he really did not want to stay with these two people in the same car. So it was still better to sit in the car Cui Yan sent over. After all, the driver and the staff were already here.

Jing Yang had long anticipated that Wu Xiuyuan might try to embarrass him, so he had Cui Yan help him arrange it. As long as he sent the paintings over, the people in charge of the exhibition would immediately let him hang up the paintings, no matter what they were.

Entering the painting exhibition hall also had an arranged time and order. Jing Yang was already starting to hang up his paintings when Wu Xiuyuan and Su Mo just entered the hall.

Su Mo had said to Wu Xiuyuan just now that Jing Yang had some relationship with a big man in order to satirize Jing Yang, but now it seemed like he really had some sort of special relationship. He couldn’t help but be jealous. He thought angrily, isn’t it just that he looks good? He goes around seducing people, sooner or later he’s going to expose his true face and let everyone know what a dirty man he was. See how he’s going to seduce people then.

Su Mo was originally just curious about what Jing Yang was going to display. But when he saw the <Merciful Grace> that he copied hanging in a very prominent position, he was shocked.

“Su Mo?” Wu Xiuyuan saw that he wasn’t moving and doubtfully looked over. Seeing that it was the <Merciful Grace> very similar to Su Mo’s, he immediately looked at Jing Yang angrily and said, “You actually hung up a plagiarized painting in the exhibition hall?!”

“Who copied who, some people know clearly.” Jing Yang glanced at the frozen Su Mo.

“Mu Jin, don’t go too far!” Su Mo was angry. “Who doesn’t know that <Merciful Grace> is my painting. Hanging up a painting so similar to mine up for exhibition, what do you want to do?”

“The painting that I came up with, I want to hang up for exhibition. Why do you care about what I want to do?” Jing Yang said with a straight face.

“You…” Su Mo was originally furious, but thinking about it, if Mu Jin had any evidence that he plagiarized him, he would have already brought it out and would not have waited until he had won the prize and become famous. Right now, him hanging up the painting must be because he was unwilling. But as long as he couldn’t prove that he copied him, it would only be him ruining himself.

“Please bring out the person in charge, I have something very important to report.” Wu Xiuyuan had an ugly expression, saying to the staff next to him.

“Wait, no need.” Su Mo told the staff, and then said to Wu Xiuyuan, “Teacher, just let him hang it up. We’re all adults here, it’s reasonable for everyone to be responsible for their own actions. When the exhibition starts, there will be reporters coming over. Then everyone can see what he’s trying to do.”

“Let’s go, teacher.” Su Mo dragged Wu Xiuyuan away. When he left he shot Jing Yang a vicious glance. He thought to himself, since he wanted to die, if he didn’t take this opportunity to trample him to death, he would be sorry for himself.

The exhibition began. A large number of oil painting enthusiasts came to see the exhibition. Because the exhibition hall limited the number of people entering per day, the exhibition would take several days to end.

Because both <Holy Light> and <Merciful Grace> would be on display, many people came to see these two paintings. The media and internet had hyped them up so much that they wanted to see for themselves which of these two paintings was better in the end.

Even though after seeing <Merciful Grace> it did give people a deep feeling, the sense of power from <Holy Light> made them very shocked. They couldn’t help but sigh in their hearts that the authority of the international competition was still reliable. These two paintings, which one should win the grand prize was still very obvious.

After enjoying <Holy Light> and <Merciful Grace>, everyone was surprised to find that there was another <Merciful Grace> in the exhibition hall, but this one had Mu Jin’s signature. Everyone who saw the painting was stunned at first and thought that the exhibition hall had made a mistake. However, after repeated confirmation, they found that there were indeed two <Merciful Grace> paintings, and the similarity between the two was very high.

Even though people who understood paintings could tell that Mu Jin’s <Merciful Grace> was much better, right now the problem was not who painted better or worse, nor was it a painting imitation competition to see whose looked more similar. Right now, in such a formal and authoritative exhibition hall, there actually appeared two paintings that were so similar. If it was a plagiarized painting, this was too blatant, wasn’t it? This could only be described as an act of hubris and impunity.

The reporters published this news immediately. The art lovers and internet dwellers instantly became lively. This produced a heated discussion, and many people were already starting to scold Jing Yang.

The reporters waited outside the school for Su Mo and surrounded him for an interview.

“The two of us used to live together.” Su Mo said to the reporters. “Then he suddenly moved out, and then took that painting to teacher Wu Xiuyuan, wanting to have teacher Wu send it to participate in the competition. But he might not have known that because I had already handed in my painting before him, his painting was too similar to my painting so teacher Wu gave it back to him. I don’t know why he hung up the painting, probably because he thought he painted it better than me.”

Su Mo had always been concerned about the internet’s remarks. Even though many of the comments scolding Mu Jin for plagiarizing made him feel very happy, in those comments, there were actually some people who said that Mu Jin painted it better than him. Even though those people were scolding Mu Jin, he was still very angry. The two paintings were obviously so similar, why would they say that Mu Jin’s was better than his?

“Then do you have anything to say about him copying your work?”

“I would like to say that if it were about some other idea or inspiration, I would be fine with giving it to him. But this one I painted specifically for my grandmother, and it represents my deep gratitude to my grandmother. So I can’t give it to him. I hope that he understands my feelings and admits his mistakes.”

“Why would you say that if it were another idea or inspiration you could give it to him? Are you two good friends?”‘

“Yes.” Su Mo nodded. “We used to be very good friends. Because his parents passed away, he was struggling to barely support his studies. I would usually help him as much as possible and also let him live in my rented apartment to reduce the burden on him and avoid unnecessary expenses. But because of that painting, he suddenly moved out.”

Hearing Su Mo’s words, the people on the internet scolded Jing Yang even more intensely. They said whatever they wanted, and their words were quite nasty. They would even go to the school gate to block him off and said that as long as they saw Mu Jin, they must beat him up because he was so hateful.

Jing Yang already expected this, so these days he did not go to school. Facing the scolding remarks on the internet, he was also quite calm. However, he had no intention of coming forward to explain himself. He would wait until the matter built up sufficiently and then give Su Mo a fatal blow.

“En~ en~” Jing Yang hugged his thighs to his chest, feeling as though his entire body was being rammed through. He wanted to endure the impulse to scream, but couldn’t help but call out, “Ah! Ah! No! No more!”

Cui Yan’s body was strong, as if he had endless energy. Especially when he was holding this person under his body, he never had the thought of wanting to stop. If not for being worried that Jing Yang’s body couldn’t stand it, he really wanted to have him stay in bed for the rest of his life.

Cui Yan felt like he had become addicted to Jing Yang. Whenever he couldn’t see him he would miss him, and when he saw him he just wanted to hold him and love him properly in his arms. He didn’t care about anything else.

Jing Yang’s legs were finally released from Cui Yan’s grasp and he was able to straighten them out. He held tight to the edge of the pillow, breathing hard. That sense of shock that the intense movement brought him very slowly dissipated.

Jing Yang’s breathing slowly calmed down. When Cui Yan began to kiss down his chest, he knew that it was not over. Cui Yan would not let him go so soon.

The lover in this life seemed to particularly like the little thing between his legs. Every time, he would use his mouth to make him cry out and beg for mercy. Sometimes he couldn’t stand such stimulation and would resist fiercely. Cui Yan would tie him up and Jing Yang had to wait for Cui Yan to satisfy him enough before he was willing to let him go.

~

Jing Yang only felt that his mind and eyes were filled with a white blankness. He couldn’t come back to his senses for a good half day, and that person still stuck to him even after they had finished.

When everything went back to normal and his breathing evened out, his consciousness had cleared up. Jing Yang patted Cui Yan’s back. “Get out.”

“Wait a little longer.” Cui Yan kissed his earlobe.

“Wait for what, it’s uncomfortable with you like this.” Jing Yang said.

“Just try to ignore it, take it like I don’t exist.” Cui Yan said like a hooligan.

“You…such a big thing, how am I supposed to ignore it?” Jing Yang really felt like this guy was talented, to actually be so much larger than normal people.

“You’re just too small.” Cui Yan smiled.

Jing Yang felt like continuing to talk about this topic with him was simply crazy. He buried his face in a pillow and ignored him.

Cui Yan held Jing Yang’s hand and kissed his fingers one by one. Worried that he would suffocate, he turned Jing Yang’s face back and kissed his earlobe. “I have already arranged for the media. When are you going to come forward for an interview.”

“The day after tomorrow.” Jing Yang said. He had already not gone to school for several days. It was almost time, or else things wouldn’t be easy to control.

“I did it all for you, I even used my mother. Don’t you have anything to say?” Cui Yan asked.

Jing Yang didn’t want to pay attention to him. Because he knew that what he wanted to say could only be one thing. Even if he didn’t say anything, he would still seek the benefits himself.

Cui Yan didn’t get Jing Yang’s reply and sure enough acted on his own.

“Ah~” Jing Yang tightly held onto the pillow, trying not to make a sound. Because his crying and moaning would only make the man behind him more excited.
